About Laura

About the Founder & Host of Faithfully Explore!

Laura’s journey of curiosity and questioning began in 2009, when she started reexamining the strict religion she had been raised in. That moment of reflection sparked a lifelong desire: to find beliefs that truly resonated with her values and her evolving understanding of the world.

What followed was a passionate exploration of the world’s wisdom traditions. From flipping through sacred texts to watching documentaries late into the night, Laura immersed herself in learning about different religions, philosophies, and spiritual paths. She discovered that no single belief system felt like a perfect fit—and that was okay. Instead, she began weaving together ideas and practices from many traditions, creating a flexible, deeply personal path guided by kindness, curiosity, and growth.

For 13 years, Laura was a devoted teacher—a role she cherished. But when her husband was diagnosed with cancer, she made the life-changing decision to leave the classroom and prioritize time with him. This season of change in her life deepened her commitment to focusing on what truly matters: love, learning, and living with intention.

Today, Laura brings that same spirit of thoughtful exploration to Faithfully Explore!—a podcast for curious kids (and their grown-ups) who want to understand the world’s beliefs through story, play, and heart.

If Laura could, she’d travel constantly. Nothing excites her more than seeing the world through other people’s eyes, visiting sacred places, and discovering cultural traditions firsthand. She’s also a voracious reader, a devoted game enthusiast, and a lover of all things documentary. Whether she’s hiking new trails or reflecting on life’s big questions, she’s always seeking out the next idea or story that can spark connection.

Through Faithfully Explore!, Laura invites you to join her in celebrating the beauty of different beliefs and the common values that unite us all. This isn’t a journey about having the “right” answers—it’s about asking better questions, nurturing empathy, and discovering what helps us live more meaningful lives.
